Generation SDG is recruiting new ambassadors!
We have an exciting new opportunity that you might be interested in! The United Nations Association in Canada (UNA-Canada) is launching its third cohort of the Generation SDG programme this spring! The programme team is looking for youth interested in developing environmental and social justice-minded projects based on the Sustainable Development Goals in Ottawa, Gatineau, Kemptville and Cornwall.
What is it?
Generation SDG is a programme for youth, aged 15-25, who want to change the world, one step at a time!
In groups of (15) fifteen SDG ambassadors working in subgroups of (5) five, youth will identify collaborate to create a tangible solution that responds to a pressing challenge in your community.
When will it take place?
Between June 2021 and March 2022: discovery and development of a collective project (for a minimum of 120 hours per participant, 4 hours per week)
How does it work?
Coaching from mentors throughout the duration of your collective project
6 training sessions on inclusion, the SDGs, project management and more.
Symposium in March 2022
Networking with local, national, and global youth leaders
How much does it cost? It's free, and youth will be provided with resources including a $200 grant to launch their gro up project.
